ABSTRACT:
Various piperidone intermediates of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.2 is hydrogen, lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, aryl-lower alkyl, or styryl; and aryl is phenyl, naphthyl, substituted phenyl or substituted naphthyl are disclosed. These compounds are useful as intermediates in the preparation of pharmaceutically useful aryldecahydropyrrolo[3,4-f]-quinolines.
