ABSTRACT:
A device for detecting the position of a seam on a welded pipe in a three-dimensional laser beam machine for processing pipes. The three-dimensional laser beam machine has a chuck62for holding, rotating and axially moving a cylindrical pipe400. A weld seam detection device100is equipped with a sensor head110provided on a laser processing main body30. The sensor head110has a master lever120that moves along an inner wall surface410of the cylindrical pipe400and a sensor lever140. When the cylindrical pipe400is rotated and the sensor lever140contacts the weld seam, the movement of the sensor lever140is detected by a micro switch150, which sends a signal to an NC device90by which the weld seam position is recognized.
