ABSTRACT:
A pipe attachment and receiving apparatus for severing and handling a subsea pipe. The apparatus including a chassis adapted to mount onto a subsea pipe and clamps for clamping the chassis to the subsea pipe. An interface assembly is connected to the chassis. The interface assembly is adapted to extend and retract relative to the chassis. The interface assembly is adapted to receive modules. The modules are adapted to be releasably mounted to the interface assembly. A cutting module is mounted to the interface assembly to cut the pipeline and a docking module is mounted to the interface assembly to repair the pipeline with a replacement spool.
