ABSTRACT:
Of a plurality of surfaces forming its shape, a piezoelectric transformer13A has two types of output electrodes22and23on one surface in the longitudinal direction and two opposing surfaces in the lateral direction. This piezoelectric transformer13A can be driven by properly switching first and second resonance modes different from each other. In a strobe apparatus, a discharge capacitor3is charged by a voltage generated in the output voltage23when the piezoelectric transformer13A is driven in the first resonance mode, and a discharge tube4is triggered by a voltage generated in the output electrode22when the piezoelectric transformer13A is driven in the second resonance mode.
