ABSTRACT:
The present invention provides a phthalocyanine compound represented by the following formula (PC-1):Formula (PC-1)(wherein M represents a hydrogen atom or a metal atom, R1, R4, R5, R8, R9, R12, R13, and R16each represents independently a hydrogen atom or a substituent, at least one of R1, R4, R5, R8, R9, R12, R13, and R16is a group represented by formula (II), and R2, R3, R6, R7, R10, R11, R14, and R15each independently represent a hydrogen atom or a substituent);in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="lead"?—SO2R17  Formula (II)in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="tail"?(wherein R17represents an alkyl group, aryl group or a heterocyclic group having a hydrophilic group). A novel phthalocyanine compound having high durability and useful as a functional dye is provided.
