ABSTRACT:
A photothermographic element has on a support, a photosensitive layer containing a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducing agent, and photosensitive silver halide grains. Sharpness is improved when the volume of the photosensitive layer divided by the number of photosensitive silver halide grains in the photosensitive layer is in the range of 0.005-0.1 .mu.m.sup.3.
