ABSTRACT:
A photographic recording material comprising a support, at least one photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer, a protective layer on that side of the at least one silver halide emulsion layer remote from the support and, optionally a backing layer, the protective layer and/or the backing layer containing in combination (a) a polymeric compound (I) containing at least 0.2 mol-% recurring units corresponding to the following formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 may be the same of different and represent hydrogen, alkyl or halogen,
