A photographic material comprising a support having thereon a light-sensitive layer containing powdered titanium dioxide, a soluble silver salt, a soluble copper (II) salt and a hydrophilic binder and a method of forming a black copper image comprising dipping the imagewise exposed photographic material into an aqueous solution containing a reducing agent.
