ABSTRACT:
A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material is disclosed, comprising a support base having coated thereon a photographic layer containing a magenta dye represented by formula (I) ##STR1## wherein X represents ##STR2## wherein R.sub.1 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group; Y and Z each represents a substituted or nonsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or nonsubstituted aryl group, a substituted or nonsubstituted aralkyl group, wherein the substituent of the substituted alkyl group, aryl group or aralkyl group is not a sulfo group or a carboxyl group and the total of carbon atoms in Y and Z is 15 or more; and M represents a hydrogen atom or a cation.
