ABSTRACT:
Development of a color photographic material in which the emulsion layers contain silver halide grains with a chloride content of at least 80 mol % can be completed within 40 seconds by using a substantially bromide free color photographic developer solution containing, in 1 liter of aqueous solution ready for use, from 4 to 15 g of the developer corresponding to the following formula ##STR1## or a corresponding quantity of its salts, from 8 to 35 g of PO.sub.4.sup.3- ions, at least 0.2 g of antioxidant, from 0.5 to 5.0 g of KCl and other conventional components and adjusted to a pH of from 10.4 to 12.9.
