ABSTRACT:
A metal carboxylate of the following general Formula (I), (II), or (III), ##STR1## wherein Ar.sub.1 represents an optionally substituted arylene group, Ar.sub.2 represents one of the group consisting of an alkyl group, an optionally substituted aryl group, an aralkyl group, and a hydrogen atom, X represents a metal atom selected from the group consisting of tin, zinc, cobalt, nickel, iron, and chromium, and n represents the valence of X, is added to the charge transport layer of a photoconductor for electrophotography. The resulting photoconductor exhibits excellent electric stability in repetitive use with little variation in electrically charged potential or residual potential.
