ABSTRACT:
A phosphorous free antiwear/antifriction additive for lubricant oil is described. The additive is a fatty acid thio ester or a dialkyl disubstituted fatty acid thio amine having the formula of ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is a saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon having 8 to 40 carbon atoms;
