ABSTRACT:
Compositions prepared by the reaction of a di-(lower alkyl) phosphite with a C.sub.10.sub.-20 epoxide in the presence of a strongly alkaline reagent are useful as friction-reducing additives in functional fluids, especially automatic transmission fluids.
