ABSTRACT:
Improved phosphor pigments are disclosed. The pigments consist of an inorganic phosphor pigment such as a Eu2+activated alkaline earth metal aluminate/silicate which is bonded to borosilicate glass balloon microspheres. The density of the improved phosphor pigments is preferably in the range 0.20 to 1.50 g/cm3. A process for preparing the improved phosphor pigment is also disclosed.
