ABSTRACT:
Novel phosphonium salts of N-phosphonomethylglycine are disclosed herein, having the formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, and R.sup.4 are independently selected from the group consisting of C.sub.1 -C.sub.10 alkyl and phenyl. The compounds are useful as herbicides and plant growth regulants.
