ABSTRACT:
This invention is directed to a stabilizer useful to retard transesterification in moldable polymer blends containing polyester(s) during processing of the blends at elevated temperatures, particularly at high temperatures above about 285.degree. C. More particularly, the stabilizer comprises a phosphate-epoxy adduct. The stabilizer may optionally further comprise a reactive functionality component comprising a compound having a imide or oxazoline functionality and/or a hindered phenol component. The invention is also directed to a composition comprising the stabilizer and a particularly defined polymer blend.
