ABSTRACT:
A shearing interferometer, sensor head that combines advantages of standard hase shifting processing with the simplicity of shear plates. In the interferometer sensor head either a conical or a linear x-y scan is used to bring about phase shifting in the resultant interferogram, permitting routine wavefront measurements of laser beams conveniently with a sensor head based on noncomplex optical and electronic components.
