ABSTRACT:
In order to minimize the effects of heating on performance and reliability in a phase change ink jet system, the ink jets comprise a material having a thermal conductivity of at least 0.03 g cal/sec cm.sup.2 (.degree.C./cm). The material may comprise stainless steel or aluminum. The reservoir of the system comprises the same material.
