ABSTRACT:
Pharmaceutical compositions for enhancing the process of learning and memory are disclosed, that contain as active principle a 3-amino-.epsilon.-caprolactam of formula (1) ##STR1## Wherein R is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, formyl and acetyl.
Orally or parenterally administrable pharmaceutical compositions in unit dosage form comprise from about 100 to about 500 mg of a compound of formula (1).
