ABSTRACT:
The 3-amino-4-ethylthio-quinoline of the Formula I ##STR1## and pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts thereof possess useful therapeutical properties. They exhibit a potent and highly selective anxiolytic and narcosis potentiating effect and are devoid of sedative and anti-convulsive effect. Consequently, the invention relates to pharmaceutical compositions comprising the compound of Formula I or a salt thereof as active agent.
The invention also relates to a new and improved process for the preparation of the compound of Formula I.
