A pharmaceutical composition for transdermal delivery comprising an effective amount of an active ingredient selected from a benzodiazepine and a benzodiazepine antagonist; isopropanol; propylene glycol; oleic acid; and water. Additionally, the composition may contain diacetin, Cetiol B.RTM., caprylic acid, Silicon fluid, Miglyol.RTM. 840 or transcutol.
