ABSTRACT:
Azole compounds having the general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein Y is --CH.dbd. or .dbd.N--, R.sup.1 is alkyl, cycloalkyl or optionally substituted phenyl and R.sup.2 and R.sup.3, which may be the same or different, are hydrogen, alkyl, cycloalkyl, (e.g. cyclopropyl, cyclopentyl or cyclohexyl), optionally substituted phenyl or optionally substituted benzyl, or together form an alkylene bridging group; and acid addition salts, metal complexes, ester and ether derivatives of the hydroxy group and stereoisomers thereof. The compounds are useful as plant fungicides and for plant growth regulation.
