An enantiomer pair consisting of S-.alpha.-cyano-3-phenoxybenzyl S-.alpha.-isopropyl-p-chlorophenylacetate and R-.alpha.-cyano-3-phenoxybenzyl R-.alpha.-isopropyl-p-chlorophenylacetate, said pair substantially free of other stereoisomers is a highly active pesticide.
