ABSTRACT:
A process of removing soil and/or stains from fabrics by immersing the fabrics in a peroxygen bleach bath containing as a peroxygen activator an organophosphorus chlorine compound selected from the class consisting of R.sub.1 OR.sub.2 OP(O)Cl, R.sub.1 R.sub.2 OP(O)Cl and R.sub.1 R.sub.2 P(O)Cl, wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 represent the organic portion of the molecule.
