ABSTRACT:
A perovskite titanium-containing composite oxide particle having a composition represented by general formula (I), where the specific surface area is about 10 to about 200 m2/g, the specific surface area diameter D1of primary particles defined by formula (II) is about 10 to about 100 nm, and a D2/D1ratio of the average particle size D2of secondary particles to D1is about 1 to about 10:in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="lead"?M(TiO3) (I)in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="tail"?wherein M is at least one of Ca, Sr, Ba, Pb, or Mg,in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="lead"?D1=6/ρS (II)in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="tail"?wherein ρ is the density of the particles, and S is the specific surface area of the particles is disclosed. The present invention has a small particle size and excellent dispersion properties, so that the particle is suitable for application to functional materials.
