ABSTRACT:
This invention provides a novel perhydrofluorene derivative which is represented by the following general formula and which is useful as a fluid for traction drive and a process for production of the derivative. ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 each represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group of 1-4 carbon atoms, X represents (CH.sub.2).sub.p or ##STR2## wherein R.sup.4 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group of 1-4 carbon atoms, p represents a real number of 2-6, q represents a real number of 1-4 and s represents 1 or 0 and k, m and n each represents a real number of 1-4.
