Lubricants for electromagnetic recording media are characterized in that they are amides, imides or amide-imides consisting of perfluoroalkylpolyether derivatives. The derivatives are reacted with perfluoropolyether radicals and cyclic amino compounds, nitrogen-containing heterocyclic amino compounds and phosphonitrile amide compounds.
