ABSTRACT:
There is described a percussion instrument which is adapted to be used with a drum apparatus, for example, to provide additional sound effects therewith. The instrument comprises a generally ring shaped member and is arranged to support sound producing elements such as cymbals, shakers or the like. A suspension arrangement is provided wherein the ring-like member can be suspended or supported at the drum apparatus with varying degrees of resiliency so that the rate, period and tone of the sound produced by the instrument can be varied.
