ABSTRACT:
Peptides that bind to the Interleukin-2 (IL-2) receptor subunits IL-2R.alpha., IL-2R.beta. and IL-2R.gamma., and inhibit the binding of IL-2 to these important receptors, are described. The invention also includes methods for treating diseases related to the activation of these receptors, as well as the receptors for IL-4, -7 and -13. In addition, the present invention also includes methods for assaying for the presence of these receptors on cell surfaces.
