The new varietyPennisetum‘Tifton 23-O’ is provided. The new and distinct variety has increased tillers under drought conditions; superiorHelminthosporiumleaf spot resistance; high ornamental value; narrow canopy; narrow base; and narrow leaves. The asexually reproduced inter-specific variety is reliably propagated vegetatively.
