ABSTRACT:
The new varietyPennisetum‘Tift-17’ is provided. The new and distinct variety has excellent drought tolerance; superiorHelminthosporiumleaf spot resistance; high ornamental value; higher tiller number in drought conditions; cold tolerance for short periods of time; and relatively long trichomes on the sheath and at the leaf blade edge at the collar. The asexually reproduced variety is reliably propagated vegetatively.
