ABSTRACT:
A peelable pouch50for containing a single dosage product P having a top layer100joined to a bottom layer200by at least one seal500thereby creating a primary compartment300. The primary compartment300houses the product P, sealed from the exterior environment. The peelable pouch50includes a tear promoting surface condition600on the top layer100and the bottom layer200intersected by a fold-over line700. When the pouch50is folded about the fold-over line700the tear promoting surface condition600permits a user to easily tear off a portion of the pouch50and expose a portion of the primary compartment300allowing the product P to be removed from the pouch50. Alternative embodiments incorporate a product retention edge350that requires supplemental separation of the top100and bottom200layers to gain access to the product P, as well as a secondary compartment400formed between the top100and bottom200layers.
