ABSTRACT:
A new process for synthesis of ferromagnetic chromium dioxide is provided wherein a chromium trioxide solution is mixed with reducing agent that only partially reacts with chromium trioxide during formation of paste below about 100.degree. C. and completes reaction during the heating of paste to temperatures needed to synthesize ferromagnetic chromium dioxide.
