ABSTRACT:
A paper-sheet handling device, as shown in FIG.23, is a device that transports a bundle of paper-sheets obtained by binding a plurality of paper-sheets and is provided with a clamp movement mechanism80that contains lower arms801aand upper arms801band transports the bundle of paper-sheets with it being fixed. The clamp movement mechanism80contains a clamp-opening-and-closing driving section881that drives the upper arms801b, the clamp-opening-and-closing driving section881is provided with cams87a, 87b, and each of the cams87a, 87bcontains a part having a given curved shape, the part keeping a normal operation range in which the upper arm801bis moved up to a predetermined position with respect to the lower arm801ato release the bundle of paper-sheets3″ and a U-shaped part that keeps a lock position for opening the clamp, the U-shaped part being continuous with the part having the given curved shape. Such a configuration allows a situation in which the upper arms801bare opened to be locked. This enables workability and operability when a jam removes to be improved and enables release of the lock of a manipulation lever to be prevented from being forgotten.
