ABSTRACT:
A printer includes a paper transport cylinder which is intermittently driven by a motor to automatically advance the paper by one line each time a line has been printed. In order to advance the paper before printing begins a manually actuable key is provided which, when depressed, couples the transport cylinder to the motor and actuates the motor. The transport cylinder is rotated while the key is depressed to rapidly advance the paper.
