ABSTRACT:
A panel light source device includes: a light guide plate1;a reflecting sheet5,provided facing a rear face of the light guide plate1,and an end of which is bent, so as to face a side face of the light guide plate1;a wire4disposed at a side face of the light guide plate1,sandwiching the reflecting sheet5therebetween; and a slim case, wherein the slim case is constructed of a rear face case7,a front face of which is open, the light guide plate1,the reflecting sheet5and the wire4being inserted into the case7through the front face thereof, and a front face case6then being engaged with the rear face case7.The rear face case7has a reflecting sheet exposing section14,formed so that a height, of a portion of a side face on the wire side, is lower than the height of a remaining portion of the side face, to thereby expose the reflecting sheet5.Thus, the assembly of a panel light source device is made easy.
