A palladacycle of the formula (I) ##STR1## where: R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 are, independently of one another, hydrogen, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)-alkyl, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)-alkoxy, fluorine, NH.sub.2, NH-alkyl(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4), N(alkyl).sub.2 -(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4), CO.sub.2 -(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)alkyl, OCO-alkyl-(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4), or phenyl,
