ABSTRACT:
The present invention provides for a device for sealing paint in a can. The device or fluid cover includes a circular disk having an outer edge with the diameter of the edge being smaller than the inner diameter of the can. The cover includes a side wall that extends outwardly and upwardly and a lip that extends radially outwardly from the side wall. The diameter of the lip is greater than the inner diameter of the can. Upon insertion of the cover into the can the side wall flexes to allow the cover to be inserted into the can, whilst the lip frictionally engages the can inner surface. The fluid cover further includes a handle defining an upward cavity that can be compressed to expel air from the cavity and assists in sealing the fluid cover on top of paint by providing a partial vacuum. The side wall may be of an arcuate shape and have several sections extending radially outwardly at different angles to the disk.
