Paint or varnish composition comprising, as solids:from 10 to 50 parts by weight of at least one polyurethane in aqueous emulsion form;from 10 to 30 parts by weight of at least two acrylic polymers or copolymers in aqueous emulsion form;from 10 to 70 parts by weight of mineral or organic fillers;from 5 to 20 parts by weight of processing aids; andfrom 0 to 10 parts by weight of crosslinking agent;said composition furthermore comprising from 40 to 150 parts by weight of water, the parts being given by weight of active material in the composition.
