Process for coloring and toning water-diluted coating agents with pigment pastes. At least one film pack which is made of water-soluble films, sealed on all sides and filled with a pigment paste is immersed in the water-diluted coating agent, and after dissolution of the pack, the paste is uniformly dispersed.
