ABSTRACT:
A method of providing oxygen barrier properties to a retorted container is described. A retort container is filled with a product sensitive to spoilage from oxygen contact, such as certain food. The filled container is heat sealed closed, retorted, and then enclosed with a oxygen barrier material.
