ABSTRACT:
Hydrocarbons, such as cyclohexane, may be oxidized to products such as cyclohexanol, in the presence of oxidation initiator containing (i) a hydroperoxide R'OOH, such as t-butyl hydroperoxide, and (ii) a nitrogen oxide NO.sub.x.
