ABSTRACT:
The efficiency of electrochemical oxidation of cyanides is substantially improved by the presence of nickel ions. For example the addition of 10.sup.-.sup.3 molar nickel sulphate can triple the efficiency of the process. Nickel cyanide precipitates at the end of the reaction and is recovered and recycled.
