ABSTRACT:
Compounds of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2, independently, are hydrogen, halogen or lower alkyl; R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5, R.sup.6 and R.sup.7, independently, are hydrogen or C.sub.1-3 alkyl; R.sup.8 is hydrogen, lower alkyl or formyl; R.sup.9 and R.sup.10, independently, are methyl or trifluoromethyl; and n is 0 (zero) or, when both R.sup.7 and R.sup.8 are lower alkyl, n is 0 (zero) or 1,
prepared, inter alia, from p-aminobenzaldehydes which may be N-alkyl substituted, are described. The compounds of formula I are orally active antidiabetic agents.
