ABSTRACT:
K.sup.+, Mg.sup.2+, and SO.sub.4.sup.2- were important components eliciting oviposition by Trichogramma pretiosum Riley in aqueous solutions in artificial wax eggs. Ca.sup.2+ inhibited oviposition in a KCl-MgSO.sub.4 solution. The solutions most active in stimulating oviposition were 124.7-36.5 and 83.1-24.3 mM, respectively, of KCl-MgSO.sub.4.
