ABSTRACT:
An overheat preventing system for internal combustion engines, especially for outboard engines. The engine includes a choke valve, and electromagnetic means for closing the choke valve. A thermo-switch that is responsive to engine temperature is effective to cause the electromagnetic means to close the choke valve and reduce the engine speed when the engine temperature is too hot.
