An oven comprises:a cooking chamber defined by chamber walls;a baffle plate mounted within the cooking chamber for directing the flow of air within the cooking chamber, said baffle plate being provided with at least one aperture;a fan for moving air within the cooking chamber, and for maintaining a flow of air through said aperture; anda catalytic converter located within the cooking chamber,characterized in that the catalytic converter is mounted both on said baffle plate and upstream of said fan.
