ABSTRACT:
An operational condition of an outboard motor1is detected by an ECU29, and transmitted via a communication unit228, from a communication apparatus283to a base station30. Antennas32and a cable33are arranged along an inner surface of an engine cover12. The cable33is provided with a connector34for connecting the antenna32to a communication unit28and a GPS receiving circuit31. The communication apparatus and the antennas are held floating in a case351which is filled with a gel, and the case351is fixed to the engine cover12. A communication unit28is provided inside an engine cover12. A housing portion41for a portable phone PH is provided pivoted about the cover12in such a manner that the portable phone is removable from the housing portion41.
