ABSTRACT:
An elongated, cylindrical metal sleeve has a soft cylindrical, elastomer cover. A shaft is mounted through the core in a bearing slip-fitted in each end and held in place by a snap ring on one end snapped into the metal sleeve and on the other end by a circular collar having a protruding tooth or dog, which is press-fitted into the metal sleeve and slides into the keyway in the shaft. A collar is fitted on each end of the shaft to limit the amount of oscillation of the roller. The ends of the shaft are mounted on a printing press in a bearing cup or some other way.
