ABSTRACT:
Novel solid salt compositions are described containing, for example, tetraaryl and triarylaralkyl phosphonium and arsonium cations and tetraaryl and tetraaryloxy-boronates and aluminates and polyanionic metal oxide surfaces, for example, as anions. The salts are useful for extracting aromatics and olefins from paraffinic hydrocarbon and aqueous liquid feedstreams and from vapor and gas feedstreams by absorption.
